Welcome to Our School!

On behalf of all at our school, I would like to welcome you to our website and invite you to find out all about the exciting things that go on here by exploring.

Wilbarston CE Primary School is a happy and caring school where we challenge every child to reach their full potential.  Our OFSTED report comments that children “get off to a flying start” at our school, and our SIAMS (Church inspection) report states that “every child is personally known” and “children delight in learning”.

Our aim is for children to leave us with the attributes, skills and knowledge required for their next stage of learning and to have acquired those whilst making happy memories. This aim comes from our Christian foundation and links to John 10:10 "Jesus said, I have come that you should have life, life in all its fullness." We endeavour to provide every child with the best start in their learning and to "learn with fun, faith, care and respect". As a Church of England school, we serve all our community and welcome pupils who are of different faiths and none.

We strive to ensure that every child leaves our school as a responsible, caring individual, fully able to access the curriculum at the next stage of their education in secondary school. This is developed by working in partnership with families, to ensure that children are clear about our expectations and work hard to achieve the highest standards of achievement and behaviour.

Whilst we are traditional in style, for example having a house system for pupils to belong to, our values (Christian and British shared values of caring for others, respect and fairness); we are also innovative so that we prepare our pupils for the world they will be working in and contributing to.

We are located between Corby and Market Harborough (off the A427) and have children from Corby, Desborough, Market Harborough, Rothwell and all surrounding villages amongst our school population.

We are proud of all our pupils and our school because we all work hard together to have a happy and successful school.

If you are interested in our school, we would love to meet you and show you around.  You will be assured of a warm welcome.
